Young People with Disabilities

A student at Texas Tech University, Cole Hranicky gained experience as a summer intern for the residential construction company Gerber Construction. Outside of his academic pursuits, Cole Hranicky maintains membership with the Young Life organization, which encourages students nationwide to connect through meaningful discussions about Christianity and its role in young people's lives.

Committed to helping young people grow in their faith, Young Life operates throughout the country in small groups focused on specific populations such as youth in small towns, multiethnic young people, or teen moms. For teenagers with disabilities, Young Life offers the Young Life Capernaum, which caters to the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Young Life Capernaum provides the chance for these young people to engage in adventures and cultivate friendship through summer camp activities and club meetings. Designed to combat the isolation that often accompanies special needs, weekly meetings invite young people with and without disabilities to connect and share the love of Jesus Christ.
